Character: Albedo
Canon: Genshin Impact - Patch 3.2
Age: Unknown but at least several decades old, likely upwards up 500+
Background Information: boop
Personality:
Abilities & Inventory: Wiki link! Albedo possesses a Geo Vision, allowing him the ability to manipulate the element of earth, as well as combine it with his alchemical skills. Albedo is able to transmute matter from one form to another, often using the two powers in tandem to create structures out of earth, such as the solar isotoma. Albedo also possesses knowledge of Khemia, a forbidden, dangerous form of alchemy that involves the creation of life. Albedo hasn't developed this skill to the level of his master, so there won't be too much to nerf here, but for simplicity's sake he'll be limited to creating small-scale flora like flowers, tree sprouts and vegetables. He is also a skilled swordsman, able to fend for himself in the hostile environment of Dragonspine and fight off Hilichurls and other monsters on his own.
His inventory upon arrival will include only the clothes on his back, his Vision, and his signature weapon, Cinnabar Spindle.
Suitability & Plans: Albedo is a character that is a blank slate in many ways. Despite his long life, he has had few deep, personal connections, and his most notable one with Rhinedottir seems to have been rather cold. By giving him the chance to interact with the setting and his fellow Dreamwalkers, I am hoping to develop his self-expression as he continues to seek out the answer to the question that still haunts him: the truth of the world.

Canon: Genshin Impact - Patch 3.2
Age: Unknown but at least several decades old, likely upwards up 500+
Background Information: boop
Personality:
Inquisitive: As the creation of a scientist and scholar, Albedo has taken on Rhinedottir's inquisitive nature and seeks to understand everything in the world around him. He is often deep in thought as he ponders his surroundings, and whenever encountering something new, he is immediately asking questions and formulating hypotheses. He is not one to leave any stone unturned, willing to consider every possibility until proven false. This leads Albedo to get very deep in his research, often staying up all night working to finish just "one last experiment". He has an utter fascination with the world around him and its boundless mysteries, and he will never stop seeking to learn more. It is all in pursuit of the question Rhinedottir left him with when she disappeared: what the truth of the world is, and what it all means. Intelligent: As a lifelong researcher with many, many years under his belt, Albedo is highly intelligent, and widely regarded across Mondstadt as a genius. He is not only the Chief Alchemist of the Knights of Favonius, but also the leader of its Investigation Team. Due to his inquisitive nature, Albedo does not overlook details or answers, and can draw on a vast amount of knowledge and experience when trying to solve the problems presented to him, even taking on tasks as mundane as creating a sobriety potion for one of Mondstadt's festivals. In this way, he is also very hardworking - he will not stop until he has accomplished what he has been asked to do, even if it were to come at his own expense. The only time when Albedo allows himself to be distracted from his work is when Klee is around, but really, it's more that the task of taking care of her trumps anything else he could be working on. Antisocial: Though widely respected and liked in Mondstadt, Albedo can be somewhat antisocial. Due to the volume and nature of his work, as well as his tendency to hole up in an isolated cave on Dragonspine most of the time, Albedo does not keep many friends. He finds relationships tedious to keep up with, and has difficulty navigating them beyond basic courtesies and politeness. He simply hasn't had many of them; he doesn't seem to know any of the other Knights terribly well, and while he has a close working relationship with his assistant, Sucrose, they don't seem too close outside of their alchemy. Aside from Rhinedottir, Alice and Klee, the Traveler seems to be Albedo's first real close friend in a very, very long time. He doesn't mind talking about himself or his work, but he does have difficulty relating to others in a personal way, though he is starting to gradually improve at this. Reflective: Though a man of science and research, Albedo also has the heart of an artist. Albedo uses art as a way to relax and collect his thoughts, a creative outlet that helps him work through other questions that are on his mind. His relationship with his art is illustrative of his relationship with the world around him. Albedo is a deeply reflective person, not only reinforced by his inquisitive nature, but also his thoughtfulness. He is considerate of those around them, willing to lend a hand when he sees a need, and an ear as well. He is constantly reflecting on the world around him and its mysteries, as well as the answers it may hold for him. When Rhinedottir left, she created a vacuum in Albedo's life that he has so far not known how to fill, but he is ever aware of his fact, pondering his own nature and the way he relates to Teyvat as a whole. He can appreciate the beauty of the world around him, and the need to behold it. Reserved: Due to his nature as a homunculus and his primarily science-driven mind, Albedo is not terribly effusive. His self-expression comes in the form of his art, and aside from that, his emotions are subtly worn. Though he doesn't keep his nature guarded and he's not a distrusting person, he does not wear his heart on his sleeve. His smiles are soft and polite, his laughter rare, and while he isn't unhappy, he simply isn't focused on enjoying life so much as learning about it. It's as though he must learn all the lessons of the world before he can let himself sit back and simply enjoy it. His artificial nature also plays a role in this; Albedo likely did not have a traditional childhood, and being instructed by his creator, he missed out on a lot of formative experiences. His own humanity is something of a puzzle to him that he is continuing to find the pieces for, figuring out where he fits into the bigger picture. Eccentric: All of the traits above feed into Albedo's eccentric nature. Though he is polite and composed, his unconventional processes sometimes catch those he works with off-guard, as his mind works in unusual ways. He really has no pretenses holding him back, so he is willing to consider and test things out that others would find questionable. From his experiments to his taste in food, Albedo is anything but typical. If he looks at things one way and he can't find an answer, then he will find another point of view, no matter how ridiculous that point of view might seem. This also sometimes gets him into questionable situations, and while he is capable enough to handle himself, his choices nonetheless demand some scrutiny.
